Dr. Max Thomas DC, CCIP

A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Max Thomas, D.C., C.C.I.P, is honored to serve patients as the Clinic Director and owner of two Maximum Health Center locations. He enjoys helping patients improve their health and teaching them new ways to achieve a better quality of life.

As a longtime patient of chiropractic, Dr. Max began to see the benefits when he was a young athlete and a wrestler. A competitive and passionate athlete during his school and college years, he found that chiropractic helped him recover faster and perform better. Seeing the first-hand benefits of chiropractic care inspired him to become a chiropractor himself.

Dr. Max attended Muskingum College, studying physical education & sports medicine. Then continued on to get his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College where he was an active member in the professional fraternity Delta Delta Pi. In addition to his Doctorate, Dr. Max is board-certified to treat Chronic Intractable Pain and Neuropathy (C.C.I.P) from The American College of Physical Medicine. This certification was important to Dr. Max because too many people with chronic pain mask their pain with drugs and medication. Dr. Max believes that addressing the root cause of pain can bring health back from the brink of suffering and help reduce the potential for opioid addiction.

A family man, Dr. Max spends most of his free time with his wife and two children and loves keeping them active in sports and spending time in nature. Dr. Max also loves to see a first-time patient take the journey from a place of dysfunction & pain to a place of health & wellness. For him, the education process of teaching and transforming a patient’s lifestyle is his favorite part of being a chiropractor. A quote that inspires Dr. Max is “We never know how far reaching something we may think, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.” B.J. Palmer

Dr. Mourad Jalloul DC

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Mourad (MJ) Jalloul, DC, is a clinical director at Maximum Health Center. Dr. MJ implements an integrative style of healthcare that revolves around the core pillars of chiropractic, nutrition, and movement; He firmly believes lasting health can be achieved by finding a balance between these three pillars.

Dr. MJ first became involved in chiropractic in 2007 after a weight lifting injury. Seeking care from a local chiropractor, he experienced the immediate relief and enhanced function that chiropractic care can provide. He was inspired to learn more about treating disease through conservative, non-invasive, and non-pharmacological means. Through chiropractic, he discovered the importance of addressing the root cause of dysfunction rather than silencing the symptoms. After obtaining a B.Sc. in Biology from York University, Ontario, Dr. MJ graduated from New York Chiropractic College with a Doctorate of Chiropractic, with honors, and a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honor Society.

MJ has had the privilege to work with young professional athletes, mid-aged weekend warriors, pediatric, and older populations. His goal has always been to maximize functional independence and eliminate pain-centered lifestyles. Dr. MJ practice style includes cutting-edge technologies such as Low-Level Light Therapy and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy while also making use of more traditional chiropractic treatments. He holds certifications in Fascial Movement Tape, Thompson Drop-Table, Activator Methods, Active Release Technique, Whole Foods Nutrition, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and OTZ Frozen Shoulder Therapy to better serve the specific needs of his patients.

His interests include cooking, hiking, rock-climbing, mountain biking, yoga, as well as reading the latest peer-reviewed research. When out of the office Dr. Mourad, his wife Dr. Alison DC, MWN, and their two faithful felines reside in Delmont, PA.
